In the resources section, I saw some nice videos that I would like to show in my classes. Since we have limited access to the internet, I would like to ask if it is possible to download them (provided they are allowed to be shared, of course)? If it is possible, may I ask how can we do this? Thanks!
Hello Floribel,

Good question ! Yes you can download the videos and show them in your class.
The videos which show in the resource section are all hosted on To download the video do the following:

  1. go to
  2. click on episode archive
  3. click on the video you want to download
  4. you will be taken to the specific video (in the webadress you will see .../file/123456789/) and it will start playing
  5. often you can choose a format (drop down box "select a format"): select flv or wmv
  6. almost at the bottom of your screen you will see a quick link bar with a download link
  7. click on the download link
  8. you will get a box with a save button
  9. click on the button save and the video file will be downloaded to your computer
  10. the file will be downloaded in the format you choose earlier (wmv of flv)

Sometimes the video can only be downloaded in flash (.flv) format. You than might need to install software to play the flash (.flv) video file on your computer because windows media player does not play .flv video files. Windows media player does play .wmv files.

A good free player that plays .flv files is VLC player which can be downloaded from

Good luck !
