I am working on public policy issues in cross-cutting sectors like environment, power, energy, sustainability, livelihoods, natural resource development, social development, infrastructure and economic development. I have around 9.5 years of international research consulting and advising work experience spans across 14 countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The focus of my work is in the area of climate change (both mitigation and adaptation), biodiversity conservation, community forest management, natural resource management, sustainable urban development, renewable energy (energy security), and market linked innovation in the context of sustainability. I have directly worked with key institutions like various national ministries, government departments, donors, bi & multi-laterals, INGOs, NGOs, community-based organizations, media and grass root communities.

I am passionate about working on natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, climate change, forestry, and sustainable developmental problems. I have the right mix of education, professional training and project management experience for this role. I have done my undergraduate degree in Zoology and Ecology from Presidency College - Calcutta University (one of the most respected institutes in the India) with a gold medal (secured first position in my university). I have completed my postgraduate degree in MBA (Environmental Management) from Indian Institute of Forest Management (one of the best environmental management institute in South Asia). I have completed important international trainings on biodiversity conservation approaches, research, and methodologies (like In-Situ and Ex-Situ Conservation, Mangrove Conservation, Landscape Ecology Approach, Sustainable Agro-Forestry, Sustainable Fishery and Aquaculture, Watershed Management, Organic Farming, etc.) from Government Agencies of India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, South Africa, Mongolia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Philippines.
